Editors Note November 30, 2024:
This was the 2024 front page to MyCivilDuty.com. Sadly, the demonstration still stands strong.
I should not have been able to take ownership of a “most comprehensive site” title so easily, even though this page is quite legal…and so is the title.
While someone is welcome to come along and take the title away from me, more to the point, local municipal units continue to derived Election Interference perks and benefits.
Public officials hiding their activities from the public is wrong enough. But when these same public officials use their office to persecute and even prosecute those who call out these types of actions and eventually patterns, it only serves up another demonstration of just how challenging it can be for even one person to put a stop to election interference of any kind.
There should be no tolerance for the hiding of a public official’s voting record, including the hiding of the meetings themselves, let alone refusing to release and distribute meeting minutes and agendas.
Don’t rely solely on news outlets and social media this election season. Let our 2025 elections reflect a more perfect union between the current government officials and all those who will decide whether that changes or stays the same.
Therefore, I strongly encourage all to spend some time reviewing not just meeting minutes of various municipal units, but go ahead and attend one of the meetings and witness for yourself what your local government is…or is not…doing.
Do some research into the laws that govern over your local municipal units. One does not need to be a licensed attorney to read a law, let alone acquire a comprehension on how the law works…
Even if you are someone who’s vote is no vote at all.
